While the NBA has been dragging its feet on releasing the schedule, reporters around the league have spent the last few days coming up with individual dates for the contests. The dates for the four Lakers and Clippers games were among those reported, and perhaps surprisingly, neither contest is on a marquee date this season.
Yahoo sources: Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers for the 2022-23 NBA season will be played on the following dates:
Oct. 20 on TNT (Lakers home) Nov. 9 on ESPN (Clippers home)Jan. 24 on TNT (Lakers home) April 5 on ESPN (Clippers home)

The Oct. 20 game was previously reported to be two days after opening night when the Lakers take on the Warriors in Golden State. Other than that, though, the other three games come on odd days even if they’re on national television.
Years ago, the Lakers and Clippers played in Orlando on Opening Night, Christmas Day and as the first game in the bubble during the Covid-19 restart. But many of the marquee games from Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James and Anthony Davis didn’t appear much in the fourth grade.
Perhaps the reason for the league is not to bring these two teams back to the same magic day again. It could be putting other young stars in those positions as well.
There is also the fact that this game catches the eye of fans regardless of the date and time. It’s a highly rated rivalry and the league can place anywhere and be popular.
As for the fixture, it looks like a better option than last season when the two sides played three times from February 3rd to March 3rd. If there are some injury issues — dear god knocking on wood — it’s a good thing he doesn’t get back-to-back games against the Clippers.
Meanwhile, Anthony Davis has missed two of the aforementioned three games in a month due to injury. From this point of view, the game is always positive.
