What to know
The Eastern Washington Eagles take on the Oregon Ducks at Auzen Stadium on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. If the game is a departure from their previous meeting in September 2015, when Oregon won 61-42, the goalie will be very busy.
The Eagles beat the Tennessee State Tigers 36-29 last week. The team ran away with 29 points in the first half and mostly settled in the second to pick up the win.
Meanwhile, Oregon’s win last week wasn’t in the stars as the team didn’t even hold a temporary lead. They fell to the Georgia Bulldogs 49-3. Oregon was in a tough spot at the half, and the score was already sitting at 28-3. QB Bo Nix wasn’t much of a difference maker for Oregon. Knicks threw two interceptions for just 4.68 yards per pass attempt.
Eastern Washington’s win dropped them to 1-0 while Oregon’s loss dropped them to 0-1. We’ll see if Eastern Washington can add another positive mark to their record or if the Ducks can shake off the loss and spring from Eastern Washington’s action.
