The LIV Tour is trying to fill gaps in the pop culture side of the PGA Tour by recruiting golf power couples like Brooks Koepka and his wife, Jenna Sims, but it looks like the tour’s future is in the. Patrick Cantley and his fiancee Nikki Giddish are a power couple.
The newly engaged couple was in North Carolina this week for the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow at the Team USA party with Colin Morikawa and his fiancee Kathryn Zhu, Xander Schaufele and his wife Maya, as well as the silver fox Fred couple and his stunning new wife Susan Hannemann.
It was a typical Team USA party where friends would gather with their wives and everyone would celebrate life as great golfers. But there’s a very different vibe to this year’s Presidents Cup. Many famous golf faces have made history playing on the LIV Tour and we have a very short list of a couple who are willing to step out as the face of American golf.
Enter Cantaley and your guide.
Cantley is ranked No. 4 in the world as Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth enjoy their quiet relationship and look all set to become the new face of the Guided Wives and Girlfriend Club.
Giddish, a 30-year-old pharmacist, has two reasons why she wants to dominate this elite club for the next several years.
Guidish understands the Instagram game; She is active, the account is not locked and Nicky will be updated with the content. There aren’t many wives and girlfriends in the PGA Tour community who seem willing to carry the torch left by Paulina Gretzky and Jenna Sims because the wives and girlfriends use less competition for camera time.
And don’t think for a second that former PGA wives and girlfriends on the LIV Tour haven’t been paying attention to the changing of the guard era in the game’s history.
“Love this outfit on you,” Jenna Sims wrote in the comments of Tony Finau’s wife Alaina.
Guidish was in the middle of the action, dropping heart-eye emojis on Alaina’s post, just like the grand leader of PGA Tour wives and girlfriends.
Welcome to the new era from PGA Tour Wives and Girlfriends. Nicky Giddish is in charge.
