Jae Crowder of the Phoenix Suns turned heads Monday morning with a tweet that had people speculating about his future with the team.
In all cases, “Change is inevitable.. Growth is optional.!! I believe it’s time for change… I want to grow.!”
Crowder averaged 9.4 points in 67 games last season for the Phoenix Suns.
He added 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
He shot 39.9% from the field and 34.8% from 3-point range.
He signed with the Suns as a free agent prior to the 2020-21 season and averaged 10.1 points in his first season in Phoenix.
Trade speculation and rumors have surrounded Crowder this offseason, with the forward’s name often associated with a potential deal for Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant.
Crowder is 32 years old and is set to make more than $10 million next season, the final season of his contract.
