The world’s most popular VALORANT player may leave Sentinel at the end of the year, multiple sources have told dot-esports.
TenZ will have to re-sign with the Sentinels to stay with the organization in next year’s Partnership League. According to dot eSports, the Sentinels, along with several other organizations, have been in talks with tournament organizer and game developer Riot Games for months to secure an opening in the American League.
According to their contract, he will be allowed to negotiate with other teams in December. But the Sentinels could renegotiate with TenZ if Riot’s full roster of undrafted teams finds space in the partnership league.
TenZ joins a long list of players and coaches entering free agency at the end of the year. All players will enter the negotiations following the announcement of the teams that will be partnering with Riot.
As first reported by dot eSports, partner teams must submit rosters to Riot by mid-October to give developers enough time.
TenZ has built his brand to become the most popular player in the game alongside Sentinels. Over the past three months, he has averaged 24,000 viewers on Twitch and has amassed more than 3 million followers, according to Twitch Tracker.
