Record of wet sports competition
Wet Esports came into the scene from a back-to-back 2nd place finish at the Winter Split Major when they acquired Team Queso’s roster in May 2022.
The bar couldn’t have been higher for this fledgling enterprise back then, but they certainly didn’t give up. After coming in second only to BDS at the spring regionals, they swept through the spring majors, winning the final 2 consecutive best-of-7s to win the entire event.
Wet Esports went into the World Championship as the EU’s first seed and swept the group against the qualifiers for the playoffs.
Unfortunately, Moisture Esports fell to South American team Furia in the quarterfinals, after a recent best of 7 that went down to the final game. A top 8 finish was disappointing for the organization, but we can be sure they will come back stronger next season.
Moisture Esports players
Moist Esports currently field English players Jojo and Rice 2 and a young French team called Vatir. All 3 players came in as starters on the first Team Queso Roster and have worked impressively quickly.
In addition to the team awards, Joyo received the MVP award from the RLCS Spring Major, while Vatir received the Defensive MVP from the same tournament. Despite finishing, Vatira received the EU RLCS MVP award from the World Championship.
Catch all 3 players competing to win their top spot when the RLCS resumes this year.
